Delivery Instructions


 

  • Volunteers must go through MOWAM’s training, offered every Thursday at 12:00PM at 3227 E. 5th Street (Central Kitchen) or by appointment
  • Delivery cancellations are requested 24 hours in advance via phone or our website. 
  • Arrive at your pick-up site between 11 and 11:45 a.m. 
  • Review your route sheet before departing the pick-up site, and take note of new clients, special instructions, and attachments. 
  • Always use insulated containers to deliver your clients’ meals, and never leave meals outside these containers. 
  • If a client does not answer the door, call MOWAM and identify yourself as a volunteer on route. The Customer Service team will help determine if the client is home and give you instructions. 
  • Maintain client confidentiality. Direct all questions about clients to a social worker. 
  • Direct any questions about your route or volunteer experience to Volunteer Services.
